Upon arrival at Villa Elly, at the back there is the private parking area and the main entrance. Upon entering the accommodation you are on the ground floor where on the right you see the fully equipped kitchen in shades of white-orange, which consists of all the necessary electrical appliances that will be needed during your stay (Kitchen, coffee maker, microwave , washing machine etc) as well as all its equipment. On the left you meet the WC of the first floor and straight we meet the living room in cool tones of white & turquoise!
In the living room there is a balcony door which leads us to the outside of the pool overlooking the sea! Going up the internal staircase we are on the 1st floor which consists of 1 bedroom in minimal shades of white and blue, with 1 double bed where you can enjoy the sunset that sinks in the Aegean Sea using the private hot tub. On the same floor there is another bedroom with 2 single beds in earth tones and mountain views, as well as on the same floor is the main bathroom!
Authentically Cycladic, the beach is a way of life. Wake up to the unique view of the sunbeams reflected in the sea, creating thousands of reflections in the turquoise waters.
Kastraki Beach is one of the largest and most beautiful beaches of Naxos. It is located in a relatively small bay, next to the peninsula of Mikri Vigla. The environment in Kastraki is heavenly, as the off-white fine sand and the green-blue waters compose an image of unique beauty which is complemented by the protected cedars located on the shores of the coast, offering valuable natural shade.
In Naxos, the historical course of the island through the centuries stands alive through a series of attractions, waiting for the visitors of the island to enchant them.
Start your journey in the history of Naxos from Chora and the famous Portara, which welcomes you to the port of the island. Portara is part of the temple of the god Apollo built in the 6th century BC on the island of Palatia. It is the symbol of the island and is one of the best places to enjoy the sunset. Continue walking around Naxos Town with the imposing castle and the monuments of archeological interest. Look for the well-preserved temple of the goddess Demeter in the village of Sangri which is also the rehearsal for the Acropolis and of course the unique Kouros in the villages of Apollo and Melanes.
The walk in the history of Naxos continues in the Venetian castles, which are imposingly and arrogantly located in many parts of the island. Do not forget to visit the churches of the island, such as the monastery of Christ the Illuminator, Agios Eleftherios and Panagia Drosiani, the oldest Byzantine church in the Balkans, which is also a monument of UNESCO.
In the museums of the island you will have the opportunity to see up close the whole history of the island through exhibits of exceptional interest. The Archaeological Museum of Naxos exhibits findings dating from the Neolithic Period to the first Christian times (5300 BC – 5th century AD). In the Venetian Museum you will see elements from the Venetian period of Naxos and you will experience the atmosphere of another era. Also, in the village of Apeiranthos there are three museums, the Archaeological, the Folklore and the Museum of Natural History, where you can admire even more aspects of the historicity and the cultural and natural wealth of the island.
The hinterland of Naxos is scattered with more than 50 picturesque traditional villages waiting for you to admire their sights and try their local delicacies. Villages with Cycladic architecture, full of shady trees and quiet corners, many suggestions for food and rest and of course their own places with history and not only interest.
