Combining the allure of rural nature, the farm is within easy reach of the popular destinations on the island. It is 4 km from the port, 5 km from the main village and 4 km from the lively yachting quay of Vourkari. It is also adjacent to an ancient stone footpath (“steni”) connected to a network that runs all over the island.
A panoramic view of 180 degrees encompasses Evoia, Attica, Makroniso, Peloponnesus and the main sea thoroughfare in between. In front of the farm you can see the low hills and the valley of Fotimari covered in almond groves and grazing fields.
The farm is carved into the slope of the hill with terraces supporting oak and almond trees, those being the natural continuation of the island’s forests, where the majestic oak trees (Quercus ithaburensis, ssb. macrolepis) cover big parts of the inner island.
The farm had not been cultivated for at least the last 60 years, as it was used only for grazing. This has ensured its soil is free from chemicals and pesticides allowing for ecological farming. Since 2009 the restoration of the farm has progressed using Greek native trees and plants which are in harmony with the island nature.
The restoration started with the rebuilding of some of the terraces, using old stones from the surroundings. At the same time trees, burned in a fire in 2007, were pruned back and the natural rejuvenation of the existing oak and almond trees was encouraged. The fertile land was planted with olive, fig, pomegranate, almond ,pistachio, carobs, cypress, bay, oak trees and tens of other varieties of Greek plants and herbs.
With the conclusion of the restoration, in total 250 trees have been planted. The surrounding garden, including a walled vegetable garden, produce some ingredients for the breakfasts and snacks for the guests and for small farm production.
The produce is biological, free from chemicals.
Chickens and guinea fowls have been added to the farm and they roam free. The chicken eggs are served in the breakfasts.
This property is addressed to the true nature lover who wishes to have a different holiday experience. This property is suited to guests who wish to experience the unique environment of the island, to enjoy the culture of the place, while relaxing on the farm, a special refuge. From a central vantage point in the island the guests have access to the roads leading to all the beaches on the island while they are in close proximity to the harbor night life.
The farm guesthouse is built based on the traditional architecture of the island taking it a step further. A lot of local elements have been used (like the local stone walling) in order for the building to be in harmony with the landscape. Private outside spaces have been created for every studio – bedroom – suite, while numerous common outside spaces for activities and relaxation exist throughout the 1 hectare farm.
We pay a lot of attention on the protection of the environment. The water used is mainly collected rain water, while there is a biological recycling unit for watering of the farm
We provide our guests with biodegradable soap and shampoo and the cleaning of the spaces is done using bio cleaning materials.
The property has 6 bedrooms that can sleep 13 people in total, a communal sitting room and communal kitchen. Every bedroom has its own private external entrance, en-suite bathroom and private outside space. Some have small kitchenettes.
The property is cleaned and serviced daily. The caretakers live in a separate propery in the farm. Breakfast is provided by the staff daily if you wish so between 08:30 and 12:00.

It has a bedroom with one double bed, bathroom, sitting-rom (with a single sofa bed), kitchenette with fridge/freezer, cooking pots and kitchen utensils. It also has 2 private terraces with tables and chairs
4) Bedroom with balcony (West side)
With undisturbed view of the sea, Makronissos and the sunset this en-suite 20sqm bedroom has its own small private balcony. It has a king size double bed with orthopedic Linea mattress.
5) Bedroom with balcony (North side)
With a view of the sea, this en-suite 20 sqm bedroom has undisturbed view of Evoia, the sunset and the vegetable garden. This bedroom has its own small private balcony. It can be set up with double bed or 2 singles (as wished by the customer) with orthopedic Linea mattresses
6) Bedroom in the garden
With an undisturbed view of the sea and Evoia, the 30sqm en-suite bedroom is a rebuilt old stable combined with modern character. This bedroom is situated separate to the main building into the garden. It can be set up with double bed or 2 singles (as wished by the customer) with orthopedic Linea mattresses
All bedrooms are equipped with pillows with two levels of softness, ceiling fan (no air-con), biological bath products Apivita, hair dryer, 220 voltage, TV, bluetooth wireless speaker, safe deposit box, wireless Internet, daily room cleaning, change of towels 5 times per week, change of bed linen 3 times per week. We accept free of charge one dog per room up to 10kilo in weight. For all other pets prior agreement is required.
